Mrs. Amanda Trombetta

Amanda Trombetta began her career as a high school math teacher and brings a wealth of experience and a passion for technology to her role at Kinnelon Public Schools. She graduated from Montclair State University in 2009 with a B.S. in Mathematics and from William Paterson University in 2012 with an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Learning.  Following her experience as a math educator she has served as an instructional supervisor for math and other STEM subjects spanning over a decade, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing educational experiences for students and supporting teachers in their professional growth.   Mrs. Trombetta also served on the Hudson County Schools of Technology Board of Education from 2015-2019.  She enjoys working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to make meaningful impact on education.

Mr. Gregory Zaleski

Greg Zaleski has over 20 years experience in special education, working as a classroom teacher, transition coordinator, supervisor and director.  He received his B.A. and M.A. from Caldwell University and his Administrative Certification from the University of Scranton.  He has presented on multiple topics throughout the state including transition planning, community based instruction, and has even presented for Autism NJ.  Mr. Zaleski is excited and grateful to be part of a dedicated community of educators and families in Kinnelon.  

 

 

Supervisor of Special Projects

Mr. Vincent Shivas

Since 2001, Mr. Shivas has had a diverse and fulfilling journey in education.  Commencing his career at a middle school in Jersey City, New Jersey, he spent five enriching years fostering young minds. Transitioning to Kinnelon High School, he embarked on a nine-year tenure as a dedicated math educator, shaping students' academic paths and fostering their passion for learning. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, they also coached football and basketball at Kinnelon High School and Pearl R Miller Middle School, instilling teamwork and discipline in student athletes. Progressing within the educational landscape, Mr. Shivas assumed the role of Vice Principal at KHS, where they dedicated nine more years to guiding both students and staff towards excellence. Presently, in his role as the Supervisor of Special Projects, he is leveraging his extensive experience to spearhead initiatives that drive positive change and innovation within the educational realm.
