Kinnelon Public School District Transportation Department

General Information
We are committed to ensuring safe and reliable transportation for over 1,500 students daily. Below are key details to help you navigate bus services for the 2024-2025 school year.
Your child’s bus letter is available in the Parent Portal under the Correspondence tab. Specific bus stop details can be found under the Transportation tab.
If you believe your child’s bus stop is incorrect, based on the information provided to the transportation department, please contact Sharon Woodruff at woodruffs@kinnelon.org or call 973-838-1418 ext. 5022.
While we cannot provide exact drop-off times, we recommend arriving at the bus stop approximately five minutes after school dismissal to ensure you are present for your child’s arrival.
Due to the volume of students transported, additional bus stop requests cannot be accommodated, and no changes will be considered during the first two weeks of school unless the stop is incorrect.
A parent or guardian must be present at the bus stop for preschool and kindergarten students. If no one is present, the bus company is instructed to return your child to their school, and immediate pickup is required. Students in all other grades will be dropped off regardless of a parent’s presence. Families who require supervision at the bus stop should arrange for alternate coverage if needed.
Late Bus Information
PRM and KHS students in need of a late bus should review the information below and confirm their assigned late bus.
Snow Routes
In the event of snow routes, only specific bus stops will have alternate locations—please refer to the linked list for details, as all other routes will remain the same.
Day Care Bus Stops
Parents must submit written requests for alternate daycare bus stops for the 2025-2026 school year by April 30, 2025, as all bus stops will revert to the home address unless otherwise requested.
