Oversees all aspects of District personnel. Functions of the Committee include but are not limited to:

Establishes and reviews the evaluation systems for district personnel including the Superintendent

Assists in the review and development of policies related to staff

Assists as needed in the interviewing process of District administrators

Reviews hiring recommendations of the Superintendent

Assists in determining the creation/elimination of district positions

Reviews and approves job descriptions

Assists the Superintendent with personnel as deemed necessary by the superintendent
The Personnel Committee will act as the Negotiation committee when needed to negotiate with the KEA and the KAA during the negotiation of contracts and sidebar agreements when necessary. In this capacity, the committee works with the Business Administrator, the Superintendent, and the Labor Attorney to oversee the negotiation of contracts with District personnel.
