New Jersey Standards & Assessment
NJSLS for Mathematics
The math standards provide clear and specific guidelines for what students should learn in math. They draw from international models and research, emphasizing conceptual understanding and coherence in math concepts. The standards also take into account how students learn, with a focus on sequenced obstacles and challenges that build on prior knowledge. These standards aim to prepare students with the necessary knowledge and skills for success in college, career, and life.
