Relax - In 10 Steps
- Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.
- Lie down and get comfortable.
- Close your eyes.
- Breathe deeply. Focus on your breath. Count to five as you breathe in; count backwards from five as you breathe out.
- Once you feel calmer, say the word RELAX in your mind as you breathe out.
- Begin to relax your muscles from head to toe with each breath. Tense each muscle as you breathe in and then relax them as you breathe out. Start with your forehead.
- Continue tensing and relaxing—moving to your shoulders, arms, hands, stomach, legs and feet. Focus on your calm breathing.
- Once you’ve reached your toes, take a rest. Keep breathing deeply.
- Slowly open your eyes. You will now be relaxed.
- ENOY this feeling!
