What is the Kinnelon After-School Enrichment Program?

The Kinnelon After-School Enrichment Program (KEP) is a tuition based program that brings fun and interesting courses, not offered in our regular school curriculum, to all our school age children.

The program is financed strictly by the funds received from tuitions and does NOT receive any funds from the Kinnelon Board of Education. The tuition must cover the salaries of the teachers and staff and any supplies needed for the program.

Teachers are hired to bring a wide variety of classes to Sisco, Kiel, Stonybrook and Pearl R. Miller schools. The courses begin right after the school's regular dismissal time and last from 45 minutes to 1 hour. The course may be anywhere between 4 and 10 weeks in duration.

There are two sessions each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The fall session usually runs from October to December and the spring session usually runs March through May. A brochure is mailed to everyone enrolled in the Kinnelon school system. Extra brochures are available at the Kinnelon Board of Education office, Kiel/Sisco, Stonybrook and Pearl R. Miller schools and at the Kinnelon Public Library.

The support of the community is vitally important to the program. We are always striving to provide new courses for our children to enjoy. Instructors are always needed for the program so if you have a hobby, talent or an interest in a subject that you believe our children would enjoy I invite you to join our growing program. You never know when you might make a significant difference in the life of a child.

There are many interesting courses available. Some courses are new and some are returning favorites. I hope you will support the program by enrolling your child in one or more of our courses.
