Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at Pearl R. Miller School in Kinnelon. We look forward to serving your children delicious and healthy meals.
The Kinnelon School District is enrolled in the National School Lunch program and offers the five components of a healthy lunch every day as well as a la carte choices appealing to a wide range of appetites. If your child chooses to buy lunch please encourage him/her to take all five components offered-entrée, vegetable, fruit, bread and milk.
For your convenience, we offer lunch tickets for sale in all cafeterias. Choose from 20 or 40 lunch tickets. Please make your check payable to “Kinnelon Board of Education” and note your child’s name and grade in the memo section. The price for a full student lunch is $2.85 so please send $57.00 for 20 lunches or $114.00 for 40 lunches.
We offer several hot entrée options daily as well as made-to-order deli sandwiches and salads. A la carte items are available for cash purchase daily. Your child may choose from healthy snacks of fresh fruit, low fat ice cream, hot pretzels, home-baked cookies and baked chips. Milk is available a la carte for $0.55 for 8 ounces and is available in low fat chocolate or fat free. Bottled spring water is sold for $0.50 for 8 ounces.
