Parent School Climate Survey Our district is participating in the Developing Safe and Civil Schools Project, designed to help improve academic performance, social-emotional growth, and non-violent conflict resolution in our students. The purpose of this survey is to determine areas for improvement in your child's school, not to find fault with any particular department, area, or individual. For more information and to complete the survey, please click the link below. Kiel School is Kinnelon’s primary school serving approximately 500 students in Pre-School through Second grade. The success of our program is driven by a strong and comprehensive primary curriculum delivered by a skilled staff of professionals. Every student is expected to learn a core set of skills and strategies involving language arts, math, science, social studies, art, music, and comprehensive health and physical education. A strong emphasis is placed on meeting each child’s individual needs. In addition, we place a very strong emphasis on character education addressing one specific trait each month.

Teachers and parents work together to ensure a positive and productive primary school experience for all students at Kiel School. The teaching staff is committed to fostering a warm, caring and exciting environment where students attain high standards and develop a positive attitude about school. Parent volunteers assist in the daily, weekly and monthly activities at school to enhance learning experiences.
We are very proud to say that Kiel School is a place where children always come first. Here you will always see and feel a team effort between staff, parents, and administration as we educate the whole child from Pre-School through Second Grade.
