The true excellence of Kinnelon High School comes from the dedication of the faculty, the motivation of the students, and the strong support of the parents and community.

In addition to an extensive array of honors and college-preparatory courses, we offer students 15 AP courses, an AP Physics/Calculus Learning Community, a freshmen learning community for college-prep students, and a four year sequence in Latin. A wide variety of electives typically found only in a large high school includes Business Education, a senior project elective , Architecture, Television and Video production, numerous offerings in the fine, performing and technical arts as well as elective offerings in each major discipline.

We offer AP classes in United States History, European History, Environmental Science, American Government, English Composition , English Literature, French, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science. Electives include Robotics and Electronics, Architecture, Graphic Arts, Business Education, Television and Video Production, and Music Technology. Project Adventure in Physical Education , along with Art, Sculpture, Chorus, and Concert Band provide Kinnelon students with opportunities for a superior, well-rounded educational experience.

Almost 80% of Kinnelon High School students participate in a broad program of both athletic and co-curricular activities. Our athletic program consisting of a complement of Fall, Winter, and Spring interscholastic sports has achieved an increasing number of conference, individual and state championships, in addition to being recognized by the state for its sportsmanship. An increasing number of our athletes compete in college programs after graduation. In addition, our students participate in a large number of academic, community service, leadership, and performing / literary arts clubs. Students and teams participating in all of these areas continue to win awards and recognition for their publications as well as their academic, musical, and athletic achievements.

The entrances of our building display a coat of arms that serves as a reminder to all who enter of the commitment that our school community has to our honor code. All of these factors contribute to our school's continued success.
