PUBLIC NOTICE

POLICY ON NONDISCRIMINATION

It is the policy of the Kinnelon Board of Education not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, sex, ancestry, national origin, handicap, marital status in its education programs or activities and employment policies as required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and N.J.A.C. 6:4-1.1 et seq., N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., N.J.A.C. 18A:6-5, 6-6; 18A:28-10, 18:A-29-2; and N.J.A.C. 6:4-1 et seq.

The Kinnelon Board of Education has adopted an Affirmative Action Plan for Personnel and Contracts, an Affirmative Action Plan for School and Classroom Practices and a 504 Transition Plan. The plans are on file with:

Any staff member who wishes to file a discrimination complaint should follow district grievance procedures as outlined in the contractual agreements between the Board and its employee units.

Parents or students who wish to make a discrimination complaint should follow district grievance procedures as outlined in the School Board Policies.
