SUBJECT: Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
In accordance with
N.J.S.A. 18A:40-42, the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services
has developed the attached educational fact sheets about the Human
Papillomavirus (HPV)
.
For the 2007-2008 school year, public school districts are statutorily
required to distribute the fact sheet to parents or guardians of students
in grades seven through twelve. Commencing in the 2008-2009 school year,
public school districts are required to distribute the fact sheet to parents
or guardians of seventh grade students annually. Nonpublic schools are
encouraged, but not required to distribute the fact sheet to students
in grades seven through twelve.
