CHARACTER EDUCATION
CHARACTER TRAITS ADOPTED BY KIEL/SISCO SCHOOL
SEPTEMBER: RESPECT
Showing high regard for authority, other people, the environment, self,
and country. Treating others as you would want to be treated. Understanding
that all people have value as human beings.
OCTOBER: RESPONSIBILITY
Being accountable for what we say and do. Having a sense of duty to fulfill
tasks with reliability, punctuality, dependability, and commitment.
NOVEMBER: CITIZENSHIP
Being law abiding, loyal and involved in service to school, community
and country.
DECEMBER: CARING
Treating others with kindness, compassion, generosity, courtesy, and a
forgiving spirit.
JANUARY: FAIRNESS
Practicing justice, tolerance, equity, and equality. Recognizing the uniqueness
and value of each individual within our diverse society.
FEBRUARY: HONESTY
Telling the truth, admitting wrongdoing. Being trustworthy and acting
