POLICIES and REGULATIONS

Driving Policy - All eligible seniors will be permitted to obtain a hang tag to display in the vehicle they drive to school. Eligible juniors will also be allowed to drive to school and park in an assigned area, on a first-come, first-serve basis. In order to be eligible for a parking permit, students must comply with directives put forth during Driver Safety Night in June, 2008. This is a mandatory meeting for those who plan to drive to school. If you did not attend this meeting, see Ms. Nussman or Mr. Soules for information. Student must also have completed all obligations including payment of outstanding fines, cap and gown order for graduation, as well as outstanding disciplinary obligations. Students who had permits last year must replace them with a new one.

Students who are eligible to bring an automobile or moped to school must have it registered with the office. Mopeds should be parked in the designated area in front of the school. Mopeds may not be parked against school or blocking exterior doors. Automobile parking is limited to the student area of the parking lot.

KINNELON HIGH SCHOOL

The access road behind the school will be used
during the 2008-2009 school year. Please pay close
attention to announcements/mailings with on how each parking area will be used.

We would like to underscore the fact that the Kinnelon police are fully enforcing the restrictions for non-parking areas including the fire safety zones. Please take this warning seriously since there are no exceptions including the evening of the special programs. Sophomores and juniors should watch clear their schedules for Driver Safety Night, to be held next June (2009) in the school auditorium.
