The true excellence of Kinnelon High School comes from the dedication of the faculty, the motivation of the students, and the strong support of the parents and community.

Kinnelon High School offers students an extensive array of advanced placement, honors and college preparatory courses that are usually found only in large high schools. Our Advanced Placement Program includes AP Physics/Calculus Learning Community and AP classes in United States History, European History, Environmental Science, American Government, English, French, Latin, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science. Electives include Robotics and Electronics, CAD-CAM, Architecture, Graphic Arts, Business Education, Television and Video Production, and Music Technology. Project Adventure in Physical Education , along with Art, Chorus, and Concert Band provide Kinnelon students with opportunities for a superior, well-rounded educational experience.

In addition to a comprehensive curriculum, inclusive of extensive, integrated technology, almost 80% of Kinnelon High School students participate in a broad program of both athletic and co-curricular activities. A full complement of Fall, Winter and Spring interscholastic sports are offered and during the 2006-2007 school year our athletes brought a large number of team and individual champions to our community. Kinnelon High School students also participate in after-school programs such as Latin, French, and Spanish Clubs, National Honor Society, Varsity Club, Actors' Workshop, Art Club, and publish award-winning school newspapers, yearbooks, and literary magazines. Our students demonstrate and exhibit their talents in concerts, productions and exhibits held throughout the school year. Our technical, performing and fine arts programs have also been recognized and contribute to the tradition of excellence that has evolved over a 45 year period.

Our commitment to professional growth is evidenced by the training the teachers at Kinnelon High School are receiving to develop their skills in differentiated learning strategies as well as methods of integrating technology into their classes. A large majority have earned advanced degrees in their field and a number of our teachers are enrolled in graduate and professional programs.

The district has made a commitment to increasing rigor in its curriculum while supporting students with different learning needs and styles. Kinnelon High School enjoys an excellent reputation with colleges and universities who recognize the strong preparation provided by our dedicated faculty. Over 92% of our graduates pursue higher education at a variety of four-year and two-year colleges..

All of these factors have contribute to our school's continued success.
