KHS has served the students and parents of the Kinnelon community located in Morris County, New Jersey for the past 46 years. We are proud of the tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the fine, performing, and technical arts that has been left as a legacy by our graduates .
Thanks to the support of our township community, KHS, in addition to completing a number of renovations in our technology, TV media , and physical education areas, has opened a new wing that contains a "state of the art" media center, fine and performing arts rooms, science labs, and small and large group instructional rooms. This addition allows students to take an ever-increasing array of course offerings that are usually only found in large high schools.

Despite a growing enrollment and larger facility, we pride ourselves in maintaining a personal and friendly environment typically only found in private schools. All students are serviced by an ever-increasing number of electives in addition to secondary, college-prep and advanced courses.
Our commitment to professional growth is evidenced by the training the teachers at Kinnelon High School are receiving to develop their skills in differentiated learning strategies as well as methods of integrating technology into their classes. A large majority have earned advanced degrees in their field and a number of our teachers are enrolled in graduate and professional programs.

The district has made a commitment to increasing rigor in its curriculum while supporting students with different learning needs and styles. Kinnelon High School enjoys an excellent reputation with colleges and universities who recognize the strong preparation provided by our dedicated faculty.

While approximately 94% of the class of 2008 will continue their education, more than 1/3 graduated with potential college credit because of their successful Advanced Placement performance. This year, we have initiated a program with Syracuse University that will allow our students to gain college credit by successfully completing Syracuse courses here.

Members of the classes of 2007 and 2008 are now continuing their education in some of the most prestigious universities in the country including Columbia, Cornell, Duke, Harvard, Yale, and the University of Pennsylvania. Due to the success of our athletic programs we have an increasing number of graduates who are competing at the college.
