EMERGENCY CLOSING INFORMATION

If weather conditions force an early closing, parents will be notified via home - school snow chain. Be sure to sign-up for that at Back-to-School Night.

On inclement weather days, if you notice conditions worsening please contact your class mother to check if schools are closing.

Closings due to inclement weather or emergencies will be announced over the following radio stations:
WMTR-AM 1250
WCBS-AM 88

Closings are also announced on the following TV Stations:
FOX Channel 5 News
NJEA Channel 12

The KSD homepage also shows the current status of the schools when necessary.

DELAYED OPENINGS

In the event of inclement weather, a delayed opening may be called. The same radio and TV stations that announce the closing of school will announce the delayed opening. If the delay is canceled and school is closed for the day, the radio and TV stations will make this announcement.

Keil and Sisco School will start at 10:45AM. Stonybrook School will start at 10:30 AM. Whenever there is a delayed opening, snow routes will be in effect. Students will board their bus 1 - 1/2 hours later than their regular scheduled time.

Delayed openings are 1 - 1/2 hours later than the normal starting time.
