Teaching Subjects: Music - 7th and 8th Grade Band

Short Bio: Mr. Scanlon is a graduate of William Patterson College with a Bachelors in Instrumental Performance/Music Education. Mr. Scanlon performed extensively with the New Jersey Percussion Ensemble, The Twentieth Century Chamber Ensemble, and The Wayne Chamber Orchestra, a professional orchestra in residence at WPC. Mr. Scanlon was involved in numerous world premiers including works by Benny Golson for Jazz Combo and Orchestra performed at Lincoln Center with Jazz greats Art Farmer, Stanley Cowell, Rufus Reid, Akira Tana, and Marvin “Smitty” Smith. Mr. Scanlon had the honor of conducting The North Jersey Area Band Junior High Ensemble in January 2005.
