Short
Bio: Mrs. DeBernardi received her Bachelor of Arts from
New York University in psychology with a minor in physics.
She then received a fellowship to continue her studies at
Rutgers University where she earned a Masters of Science in
Human Learning (Cognitive Psychology) and a Masters of Education
in Statistics and Measurement. After various fun jobs in applied
research at AT&T, Duracell Batteries and Citibank, she
was happy to stay at home and raise her two children with
her husband Michael. When her children were older she began
substitute teaching in Kinnelon and found she loved teaching.
Mrs. DeBernardi then pursued her Teaching Certificate in Science.
Her hobbies include skiing, hiking, gardening, sailing, astronomy,
visiting science museums and listening to jazz.
