Dear Parents,

We would like to make you aware that under N.J.A.C. 6:3-2.1 through 6:3-2.8 you have a right to inspect all school records pertaining to your child. Should you wish to avail yourself of this right, you may do so by contacting the appropriate administrator to arrange an appointment. Ordinarily, this will be done within 10 days with a member of the school system staff present during the period of inspection to provide interpretation, if needed.

Access to these records is limited to parents, legal guardian, an adult student, or a member of the school staff who is directly concerned with your child, unless you authorize the release of these records. Should you disagree with anything found in these records, an appeal process may be invoked as detailed in N.J.A.C. 6:3-2.7.
