North Jersey Region I Choruses

Meredith N. (grade 12), Dana S. (11), and Brittany P (9) are to be congratulated! This weekend they auditioned for and were accepted into the North Jersey Region I Choruses. Meredith and Brittany made it into the mixed chorus, and Dana was accepted for the women’s chorus. These groups are made up of students from the northern third of NJ- 85 schools sent over 750 students to audition. Only 200 were accepted into the mixed chorus, and 130 into the women’s chorus. NJ All State Chorus

Please join me in congratulating Brittany P. on her acceptance into the New Jersey All State Chorus. This marks a clean sweep for Brittany this year, as she was previously in the Morris County Honor Choir and the North Jersey Region I Chorus. I’m particularly proud of her, as she is a freshman, and the competition for all-state is fierce.

The All State Chorus performs twice, once during the NJEA Convention in November, and again at NJPAC in Newark. Over 1500 students auditioned, with less than 200 accepted into All-State
